Debbie has always enjoyed singing and made her stage debut at the age of five at The Theatre Royal, Norwich in 'Sing for Joy'. She was an active member of the Church and School choirs, and appeared on BBC1's 'Songs of Praise' with her school choir. She has always loved musical theatre and has played many principal roles in various local societies.
Debbie founded Company D in 2011 and has travelled all over the Country performing songs from the war years for various functions, parties and events including many 1940's festivals such as Twinwood, Rushden and at the recent inaugural 'Mid Suffolk Vintage Festival' at Stonham Barns.
Debbie's daughter Emily was introduced to musical theatre from an early age and made her stage debut at the age of six. Emily has performed in many musicals and at many events including co-hosting the local talent show 'Beccles Youth's got Talent' for two years.
Emily has recently joined Company D and together, Debbie & Emily have performed at many local events including Beccles Carnival and more recently at Kirstie Allsopp's Handmade Fair at Hampton Court Palace.
Debbie & Emily love singing together, particularly with the beautiful close harmony songs from the 30's, 40's and 50's and are currently working on their first CD 'Love and Laughter'.
